Hyperion Essbase Application Manager is a legacy Windows-based administrative console for managing Hyperion/Oracle Essbase OLAP environments. It provides a graphical workspace to create and maintain applications and databases, design multidimensional outlines, load and transform data, write and execute calculation scripts, and administer security across servers, applications, and databases—ideal for finance and analytics teams operating on-premises Essbase.

Key capabilities:

• Visual outline editor for dimensions, hierarchies, attributes, and aliases, with validation and restructure options
• Data integration via rule files for data loads and dimension builds; import/export utilities
• Calculation script editor with syntax assistance, execution, and monitoring
• Security administration for users, groups, filters, and privileges at server, application, and database levels

• Requires connection to a licensed Essbase server; it is not a standalone analytics tool
